Hi, this is Joel Hunter. I’m going to remind you of something today that you probably already know. It’s about life’s embarrassing moments. I remember a time in my kitchen when my kids were just growing up, and my young son was maybe in second grade, and I was standing there, and he kept looking me up and down and I’m and I’m thinking, oh, this is great because he’s at the age where he still admires his father. He’s probably thinking what a great man I am. Finally. He just spoke and he said. Is that all the taller you’re? Going to get. Well, I just about passed out. Here’s what I’ve learned. A yes, that is all the taller I was going to get. And B, I’ve learned to be content in whatever my circumstance. That’s what it says. In Philippians, I’ve learned the secret of being content in any and every situation. Whether fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or want, I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Let’s turn our attention to other people, not our own shortcomings, forgive the pun, and help them, and that will help us get over ourselves.
